Sometimes cooking can be a bit ... well ... challenging. It’s hard to get inspired, it’s hard to summon the energy after a day at work, make the effort to even think about making something tasty and interesting, nutritious or adventurous. That’s where we come in - we’ll do the adventurous food thinking for you! Not too adventurous of course, but we’ll bring you a box of locally grown super tasty ingredients, and some ideas on how to use them.

The heat is finally on for summer. The stone fruit from Central Otago is everywhere, and summer veg abound. It's a good time!

So at the moment your boxes would contain a selection of the following - 

  • New season's potatoes 
  • Kumara
  • Carrots 
  • Tomatoes
  • Cucumbers
  • Courgettes/zucchini
  • Chilli and capsicums
  • Spring onions
  • Lettuce and salad greens
  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Spring cabbages – red or green
  • fresh herbs - sorrel, chives, marjoram, bayleaf, flatleaf parsley
  • Chives
  • Kale
  • Mushrooms
  • Garlic 
  • Fresh ginger
  • Freshly toasted and ground spices
  • Microgreens

If you want fruit for lunches at work we can include that too – at the moment this would be a selection of new season's Apples, stonefruit from Central (peaches, apricots, nectarines)and perhaps some berries. Pears coming soon!

Will definitely be keen for more boxes. They are a highlight for me every week 😊AH
